COMMUNITY COVENANT CHURCH IS A "SAFER PLACE"
Creating a “safer environment” for children of all ages flows from our faith and commitment to Jesus Christ. “As Christ’s body on earth, the Church’s mandate is to proclaim the gospel and to be a community of love and right relationships.” (From The Evangelical Covenant Church’s brochure, What Every Covenanter Needs to Know about Sexual Harassment and Abuse). Therefore, treating every person with integrity and high moral standards is the call of God to every believer. A “safer environment” includes everything we think, feel, and do under the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, every staff member or volunteer who works with children (infants – High School) must attend a Safer Places training class, provide references that are checked, have a Massachusetts CORI completed, and agree to follow all Safer Places guidelines.
Our prayer is that we will provide the safest place possible for all to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
